The PMC Series PH-20/PHX-20 was designed to provide “Affordable Performance” in a hydraulically operated proportioner. Contractors have long struggled with the purchasing decision between a hydraulically operated proportioner versus an electrically driven proportioner based on perceived costs, often times sacrificing overall performance. The “NO BRAINER” debate ends here with PMC’s new PH-20 hydraulically operated proportioner.
The PMC tradition continues with the point to point wiring in the console to eliminate the use of delicate circuit boards and displays. This point to point wiring scheme makes troubleshooting a snap. All components are easily replaceable and readily available.
The lightweight, rugged, open frame design allows easy access to all components and proportioner mounting in a small space.
Individual solid mass style pre-heaters are provided for maximum material Delta T.
The cycle totalizer is used to measure total cycles completed to measure output per day or per job and is re-settable.
A separate count-down device is provided to be preset by the operator to interrupt the operation of the pump circuit i.e. just prior to an empty drum set thus avoiding cavitation of the pumps.
Automatic temperature control for chemical and hose heat is provided and easily set.
The PH20/PHX series also has a redundant over temperature protection device to shut down the unit should the temperature exceed the high set limits of the temperature controllers. The unit will not restart until the temperature has dropped back down to a safe level.
Double Acting Vertical Piston Pumps are easily and quickly serviced.
Hydraulically driven proportioners typically have less decibels and require less cycles per gallon than Electrically driven units. Less Strokes=Less Wear.
Manual hose heat tap settings are provided to eliminate fragile control boards.
The PH-20/PHX-20 has the lowest amperage requirements of any Hydraulic proportioner in its’ class, thus providing for use with a smaller compressor in the economical truck/trailer rig.
All switches are NEMA 4* rated to withstand the rigorous use required in spray applications.
